Hello Friends and Family,
We hope you all had an amazing Christmas like we were able to! We had a great time with our family from out of town as well as resting and spending quality time together: it sure is nice to have Jay home from work too! He's not back at work for too long, though, because we are leaving for our EMI training this week! ACK! Just when we've got all of our Christmas things packed up and put away, it's time to drag out the suitcases and fill them up for our 2 week trip in the States.
A big bonus to our training trip is that we'll get to spend about a week with Jay's parents and even some time with his brother and his family before we head off to Uganda for 2 years. We are really looking forward to this very special time with the Whisnand family. Also, Nathaniel and Bethany will be staying with Jay's folks while we're in Colorado with EMI, so please pray for all of them in our absence! They do have a pool at Whisnand's condo, so that should help, as our kids really like swimming!
Support raising is coming along too! We only have 13% of our total budget yet to raise, so if you'd like to join us financially, we'd love to have you on board, as we need to have all of our funds committed before we leave at the beginning of March.
We are looking forward to what will do through EMI in Uganda. We just found out that they will be breaking ground on the new joint Missionary Aviation Fellowship and EMI building shortly after we arrive in March and we are so excited to be apart of all that God is doing in the area.
